Tim Bishop (NY-01) to hold "Health Care Reform Rally" at SEIU Office

Tim Bishop will be holding a Health Care Reform rally at the Hicksville NY offices of SEIU local 1199 on Thursday, August 13th at 1:00 PM. This is 20 miles outside of Tim Bishop's actual district, and the implication is that Union thugs will be there to make sure only the "correct" people are allowed in.

But the evidence would tend to indicate she is being less than truthful.

Gene Green wants Photo ID to attend Townhalls

Word has reached my ears that Gene Green, after being verbally punked by a number of people who did not live in his district, has instituted a new procedure for anyone who wishes to voice their opinions at any of his townhall meetings. You must show Photo ID to get in the door. Apparently you must have Photo ID to speak to the Congressman, but you don't need one to vote for him.
Town hall meetings are one of my favorite ways to communicate with constituents. I have held hundreds during my years of service in Congress and always welcomed everyone to attend. Unfortunately, due to a coordinated effort to disrupt our town hall meetings, we will be restricting further attendance to residents of the 29th Congressional District and verifying residency by requiring photo identification.

Its time for recess!

Rep for CT-5, Chris Murphy, will be at the following location:
Stop & Shop, 498 Bushy Hill Rd, Simsbury, Ct from 3-4.30 pm.

This is an open event. Since this is my Congressman, I may just have to swing by and say 'hi!', especially since he is so proud to have helped get the HealthCare bill out of committee this last week.

Got news on your congressman? Let me know and I'll post it here.

Your Reps and Senators

We're keeping this national at this point (no State Reps, Senators, or Mayors... yet), so here is a place to find your congressman and Senator:

I'll be sure to label name and district with all my posts, and if you join, please do the same.

Where's My Congress?

We're looking for a few hundred - at least 435 - caring citizens to help us keep track of when and where the 'leadership' of our nation will be speaking over the August recess and beyond.

Hopefully, this will help give the citizenry a chance to visit with their representatives and speak their minds. Loudly, with big signs, and if some people feel it necessary, large puppets or even effigies to do with as they see fit.

We aren't here to encourage or provide information used to stalk Representatives and Senators, so please keep any tips and information that you send (or, if you join the team, post) limited to official meetings featuring House and Senate members and their staff.

Of course, official meetings may not always be open to the public, so if you read about a meeting between your local rep and, say, a group of activists, lobbyists, ACORN, MoveOn, etc., please be respectful of the laws regarding private property and keep your demonstrations within the bounds of legality.

That said - we are now officially seeking your input on when and where your Congress will be.

Welcome

Welcome to Where's My Congress. The goal of this site is to compile information on elected officials and their appearances. If you are a supporter of detractor, you can use this site to promote events where your favorite politician (for cheers or jeers) will be present.

How you use this information is completely up to you. You want to coordinate a ride-share to hear Chuck Schumer speak about healthcare? Good for you. Have a group looking to call out the Cap-and-Traitors on their home turf? Send links to your picture pages and we'll post them.

This service is brought to you by a proud member of the American Conservative Party.
