Gene Green wants Photo ID to attend Townhalls

Word has reached my ears that Gene Green, after being verbally punked by a number of people who did not live in his district, has instituted a new procedure for anyone who wishes to voice their opinions at any of his townhall meetings. You must show Photo ID to get in the door. Apparently you must have Photo ID to speak to the Congressman, but you don't need one to vote for him.
Town hall meetings are one of my favorite ways to communicate with constituents. I have held hundreds during my years of service in Congress and always welcomed everyone to attend. Unfortunately, due to a coordinated effort to disrupt our town hall meetings, we will be restricting further attendance to residents of the 29th Congressional District and verifying residency by requiring photo identification.
